Time Is Marching On

It's hard to believe that another week has passed already!

Congratulations to all our racers who represented us this week. We are showing some impressive results this year. Make sure to take a look for yourself under the results tab on our Jozo site!

Keep those pictures coming. We have some great shots on our site, so take a moment to look for yourself. If you have any to add sent them to [email protected]

Calling all Meteors, Supernova, U10 and U12 1 day only parents!!! We have races this weekend and are VERY short of volunteers! Please use this link to fill in the gaps. We CAN NOT run a race without volunteers!

Kayleigh Shannon

We are very sorry to hear of the passing of one of our former Jozo athletes, Kayleigh Shannon at the young age of 20 this past week. Kayleigh most recently competed for Jozos in 2014 as one of our U18 racers.

Our hearts are with Shannon family during this difficult time, and the Jozo Volunteer Committee has made a donation to the Prosthetics Department at Westpark Healthcare Center, on Kayleigh’s behalf.

Looking forward to a fantastic fun-filled day on the 17th. For those attending look out for an email next Monday February 13th with an agenda. Don't forget to register with Nikki if your racers are doing Friday gate training.

Friday Training:

If your child is participating in Friday training they are required to ride the chair lift independently. Also, due to the fact that the racers "cycle" through the course, it is the responsibility of the child to stop at the bottom of the runs to get feedback from the coaches on hand. The coaches do not ski with the kids nor do they "chase" them to provide feedback.

Apres Ski!

A Family Day après ski cocktail party will take place on the Sunday of Family Day weekend in The Inn from approx 2:30 to 5pm. Stay tuned for more details, but please plan to bring the whole family for a little Club après.

Mark McKoy:

Olympic Gold Medalist - Coming to Speak with Jozo Coaches, Racers, and Families!
Among many very impressive achievements, Mark McCoy won Olympic Gold in the 60 meter hurdles at the 1992 Barcelona Games. He has since gone on to become “... a recognized expert in empowering and training others in how to have a mindset of champion and apply it to get breakthrough results everywhere in life, including in health & fitness, and in building winning teams and support structures.”

Mark will be coming to Blue to speak to the entire Jozo Weider Alpine Race Team and Ski Club on the Saturday of Family Day weekend (February 18 2017) after lunch at The Inn. More specific details to follow.

Follow these links to learn more about Mark and his high performance training.
