Jozo Weider Newsletter Volume 7

  • Wednesday, January 20, 2016

Mother nature has been kind to us again and started the week with lots more snow and cold temperatures.  The area is still under a snow squall watch and the forecast for the rest of the week is looking promising (for skiers that is).

Friday Training - Important Message From the Race Office

If you are planning to send your child to Friday Training, please remember to register your child by emailing Nikki Wait by Thursday morning. This will help with scheduling and to ensure that there are enough coaches on hill for each age group. Please include your child's full name and age group (i.e. U10, U12) in your email to Nikki. Cost is $60 plus taxes. Remember to go to the race office on Friday morning to make your payment.

Volunteers Needed

Our race crew volunteer sign up page is now operational! Special thanks to Martin Bellemare for all his hard work on this! The sign up page can be found at Once you have entered your name please remember to hit "Submit". If your athletes team is hosting a race at Blue Mountain it is expected that one parent volunteer for every racer racing. We can't run our races without your help!

Blue Mountain is hosting it's first Division 1 Boys U14 race this Sunday, Januray 24. Due to the small number of boys on our team, the race office is looking for experienced volunteers to help run the race (the girls are racing at TSC). If your are able to spare some time on Sunday, please visit our new sign up page ( or contact the race office via email Nikki.

U10 Programs

Just a reminder that the start and end times for the U10 program are slightly different from the U12+ program. The U10 program starts at 9:15am and ends at 3:00pm.

The U10 volunteer sign up page for races is right here. Again, it is expected that if your child is racing, one parent should volunteer when we are hosting a race.

New Wireless Timer

Our new wireless timer has arrived! Once coaches are briefed on it's use, it will become a valuable training tool for our racers.
